The Dosimetry Office provides a comprehensive range of dosimetry services including: Personal dose monitoring (OSL), Area/workplace monitoring, Extermity rings to monitor hand dose, Enrollment in bioassay (urinalysis, thyroid counting etc.), Dose reports, and Follow-up dose investigations.
The Berkeley Lab Ergonomics Program provides comprehensive ergonomic support and services to help optimize employee safety and comfort; with the ultimate goal of reducing the likelihood and severity of ergonomic-related discomfort and/or injuries. - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
EHS provides guidance on the proper selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect employees from hazards in the workplace. PPE includes items such as safety glasses, lab coats, gloves, hard hats, safety shoes, and more. The types of PPE required for specific work operations are generally determined through the Work Planning and Control (WPC) activity implementation process.
- Safety Concerns
The Safety Concerns Program is where you can report any environmental, safety or health concerns not considered life threatening or of an emergency nature. In all cases, employees will receive a prompt response to their concerns.
